Nationwide Cancer Awareness Programme (CAP)
Nationwide Cancer Awarness Programme (CAP) jointly launched by Cancer Care India and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on 26th may 2003, has gained commendable momentum and producing results. Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi, Sri Aurobindo Bhawan, Krishnagar, Dist: Nadia, West Bengal and Ushagram Trust, Birnagar, Dist. Nadia, West Bengal, also have joined hands and conduting CAPs.
' As on 12.10.2014, conducted 138 major CAPs in 27 states/ Union Territories, and 57,761 people including 44,565 NCC cadets, 500 BSF personnel and 12,696 others attended our workshop on cancer awareness.
CAP is an on going programme and conducted all over the country by our member groups, NCC and friends of CACI
• 24 Nov 2016 - CAP-182 will be conducted for 500 NCC cadets, being organised by 73 UP Bn NCC, Mawana, Dist. Meerut, UP • 04 Dec 2016 - CAP-183 will be conducted for 550 NCC cadets being organised by 15 Haryana Bn NCC, Jind, Haryana. • 17-18 Dec 2016 - 14th All India Conference and General Body Meeting of Cancer Care India will be held at Patuliputra Hotel, Patna. It is clubbed with the meetings of India Society of Oncologists (ISO). • 22 Jan 2017 (Tentative) - 11th All India NCC Cancer Awareness Competition will be held at RDC, DG NCC Camp, Delhi Cantt.. • 28 Jan 2017 - Anti TOBACCO tableau will be taken out at Prime Ministers NCC Rally, Army Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt. • 2nd Saturday Feb 2017 - Cancer Survivor's Day will be observed. • 31 May 2017 - World NO Tobacco Day will be observed.
